Biography: Dr. Margaret Markham is an obstetrician-gynecologist providing OB/GYN care with Houston Women's Care Associates (HWCA) in Houston, TX. Dr. Markham is passionate about obstetrics and gynecology because she values taking care of patients throughout their lifetime- from adolescence to pregnancy to menopause- and with every change along the way. Although she is not a Houston native, she has been happy to call Houston home for the past 15 years. Originally from Greenville, TX, a small town in East Texas, she knew very early on that she wanted to be a physician and care for families. After graduating high school, she attended Rhodes College in Memphis, TN earning Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and the Biology Honor Society. During her time in Memphis, she enjoyed volunteering at St. Jude's Children's Hospital. She also spent time at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital where she participated in an undergraduate pediatric internship, as well as outside research in infection disease with a focus in RSV. In 2004, she relocated to Houston, TX to pursue her medical doctorate at The University of Texas Health Science Center Houston. During medical school she participated in teaching through the JAMP undergraduate pre-med program with a focus in embryology. She was also a member of the American Medical Women's Association and graduated in the top 1/3 of her class. Given her ongoing love of caring for women through different seasons of life, she pursued her intern and residency training the Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her training from the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston and Memorial Hermann Hospital in 2012. During her time in training, she served on the residency selection committee and was selected as Outstanding Chief Resident in Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery. She has been practicing in the Greater Houston Area ever since where she continues to foster lasting relationships with her patients. She delivers infants and performs surgeries at The Woman's Hospital of Texas.Dr. Steele grew up in a small town in Oklahoma and became a highly touted track and field high school athlete. While earning a coveted track scholarship to the University of Notre Dame, she received honorary distinctions as a scholar-athlete & monogram award winner. She then graduated with a degree in psychology and pre-professional studies.Dr. Steele received her 2009 medical degree from the University of Kansas. She grew up in Beaumont, Texas where she enjoyed the benefits of growing up in a small town. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. In 2006, she earned her Medical Doctorate from The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Dr. Brigger completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Memorial Hermann Hospital in 2010. During medical school, Dr. Brigger was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society during her junior year. In residency, Dr. Brigger received the Residency Teaching Award and was an Administrative Chief Resident from 2009-2010. Dr. Brigger has been voted as a "Texas Super Doctor Rising Star" in Texas Monthly Magazine every year. She has also received Vitals "Patient Choice" award for multiple years. Dr. Alicia McIntosh is a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who founded Bella Obstetrics & Gynecology along with four of her colleagues in January 2020. She is originally from Waco, Texas, but moved to Fort Worth, Texas for college. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from TCU in 2004 with a degree in Chemistry. She was inducted into the national honor societies Phi Beta Kappa and Mortar Board. Dr. McIntosh had an amazing opportunity to live and study in Paris, France at La Sorbonne- University of Paris in 2002. In 2009, she earned her Medical Doctorate from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. McIntosh completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Memorial Hermann Hospital in 2013. In residency, Dr. McIntosh received the Residency Research Award for the top research project. The focus of her research was a basic science aspect of infertility. She has been in private practice since 2013. Dr. McIntosh has been honored as one of Houston's "Top Doctors" by H-Texas Magazine for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Biography: Dr. Adrian Harvey Mass is an Obstetrics and Gynecology physician with Houston Women's Care Associates. She was born and raised near Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. She went on to attend Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, and earned her MD. She continued on with Loyola for an additional year of training in general surgery, before fleeing the cold weather of the north for Texas. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology with Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Harvey Mass sees all obstetrical and gynecologic issues, but her special interests include sexual health, adolescent gynecology, contraception including IUDs, and caring for moms and babies during pregnancy.Dr. Harvey Mass and her husband are now proud to call Houston home, and are enjoying raising their 2 sons here. After completing a fellowship program at the University of Texas Health Science Center, she successfully completed a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Carroll was Chief Obstetrics and Gynecology resident for the academic year 98-99. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association and the Bexar County Medical Society. Biography: Jami J. Barnard, M.D., received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, and her medical degree from the Texas Tech University Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, in El Paso, Texas. She is a licensed OB/GYN who was twice awarded "Outstanding Teaching Resident" and has been a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society since 2012.An active volunteer in the community, Dr. Barnard's interests include educating women on preventative healthcare, providing care at various health fairs and clinics and instructing childbirth education classes. She is a Junior Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the author of multiple publications on a wide range of women's health issues.Dr. Barnard enjoys exploring her new home of San Antonio with her husband and daughter. Dr. Suris earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio and served as Chief Resident of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Medical Center Hospital. He has a special interest in urogynecology, the discipline dedicated to helping women overcome loss of bladder control.Dr. Suris is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
