Biography: As a born-and-raised Alaskan, Dr. Lars Matkin is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in general orthopedics, as well as upper and lower extremity surgery. His specific interests include hip, knee and shoulder replacement surgery; arthritis; sports-related injuries; and musculoskeletal trauma. Dr. Matkin received a Master's of Business Administration at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He then went on to graduate from medical school at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He completed his residency at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. Dr. Matkin was born in Homer, Alaska, and was motivated to return to his home state to practice medicine. Having worked at one time as a commercial fisherman, he understands how important physical health is toward maintaining independence in Alaska. Dr. Matkin adopts a patient-centered approach toward treating musculoskeletal complaints and firmly believes that the best treatment is the one that works. He enjoys developing individual treatment plans for his patients' successful recovery. Dr. Matkin has always loved the outdoors and wants to keep the people of Alaska healthy, active and strong. Biography: Dr. Daniel Brown, M.D. is a board eligible fellowship trained Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon practicing in Anchorage, Alaska. Dr. Brown is the newest member to the ORCA team and specializes in all aspects of musculoskeletal care of the pediatric patient from birth through adulthood.

Biography: A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dr. Daniel J. Cepela is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. His specific interests include the treatment of arthritis, compression neuropathy, Dupuytrens Contracture, and trauma, as well as arthroplasty and arthroscopy of the elbow and shoulder, including complex and revision cases. Dr. Cepela received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. Dr. Cepela then completed his hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery fellowship at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine, in Sacramento, California. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Biography: Dr. Rabun Fox is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon who treats a wide variety of orthopedic foot and ankle conditions. He helps guide patients first through non-surgical treatment plans and then, if necessary, surgical solutions that are minimally invasive whenever possible. Dr. Fox graduated with honors from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge , LA with a bachelor's in kinesiology. He then completed his medical degree and residency at LSU - New Orleans, LA. Dr. Fox finished his training with a fellowship at the renowned Foot & Ankle Fellowship Rothman/Thomas Jefferson in Philadelphia, PA. Along the way, he managed to land several prestigious honors, both academically and athletically, including qualifying for the 2008 Olympic Trials in hammer throw. In 2019, Dr. Fox moved to Anchorage, AK to be closer to his family, who have been In Anchorage for nearly 20 years. He enjoys the outdoors in Alaska, hiking, and hunting. As an athlete and outdoor enthusiast himself, Dr. Fox knows how frustrating it can be to have mobility limitations and works hard to help patients get back on their feet.
